Friday, December 12, and Saturday, December 13, Camtec Photo is hosting a Leica demo clinic.
Come and see why I waxed poetic about Leica’s Photokina announcements.
We will have a full demo of the entire lineup of M cameras and lenses, including the new Summilux-M F1.4 ASPH lenses. I’m personally most excited about the Elmar-M 24mm F3.8 ASPH and the new bright line 21 and 24 mm finders.
If you are looking for something special to surprise a very special person on Christmas day, you will be able to try the new high-quality digital C-Lux 3 and D-Lux 4 cameras. Special offers will be available during the two-day event.
The usual cast of elves will be present. Leica Canada’s Brian Bell and Leica USA’s product specialist Justin Stailey will be able to answer all your M8, M8.2 questions and talk about the latest developments in the M world. Justin is also Leica USA’s product specialist for the new S2. If you have any queries, or feel the need to prepare for the arrival of the new age of Leica SLR photography, drop by and pick Justin’s brain.
The full line of Leica’s sport optics products, including the new Leica HD Ultravid binoculars and spotting scopes, will also be on hand for a demonstration.
M. Gerry Smith will be manning the checkup counter at the checkup clinic. Be sure to bring your existing Leica analog cameras and lenses for a check up.
| On Friday evening, we will be holding an M system forum, with special emphasis on the digital M. The schedule will include presentations by invited M8 and M photographers, a post processing mini-workshop and a round-table discussion on M photography in the digital age. Moderating the meeting will be Justin Stailey. Please reserve early (jeanb@leicaboutique.com), as capacity will be limited. This forum is only open to M users. Refreshments will be served. |
